Who’s Who in Health and Healthcare

Health care in Haiti remains one of the most critical and challenging sectors. With limited public health infrastructure, vast geographic disparities, and compounding crises from natural disasters to political instability, health organizations fill essential gaps. They operate clinics in rural areas where government services are lacking, provide mobile health teams, train community health workers, and address everything from maternal mortality and infectious diseases to chronic conditions. In the diaspora, they help Haitian immigrants access culturally competent care and navigate complex health systems.

The organizations featured here represent just a fraction of those working to expand access to health care, improve health outcomes, and strengthen communities. What unites them is a commitment to health as a human right and a recognition that sustainable health systems must be built with, not for, Haitian communities.

While this guide highlights 10 organizations making an impact in health, it is not exhaustive.
