Solidarite Fanm Ayisyèn, or SOFA, is a feminist organization focused on advocating for and defending women's rights. It was founded in February 1986. The organization brings together women farmers, women living in working-class neighborhoods, and professional women.
The Haitian Roundtable
The Haitian Roundtable (“HRT”), founded in 2008, is a not-for-profit organization of Haitian-American professionals committed to civic engagement and strategic initiatives benefiting the Haitian community. The organization seeks to heighten awareness of Haitians as an important constituency among thought leaders and newsmakers, policymakers and institutions through partnerships, programs and events recognizing Haitian excellence. HRT is committed to working collaboratively with the goal of redefining the narrative about Haiti and Haitians. We are guided by our Motto: As Haitians, We Are The Keepers of Our Legacy.
National Haitian American Elected Official Network (NHAEON)
NHAEON is the largest network of Haitian-American Elected & Appointed Officials organization in the US. Our members represent millions of constituents all across the nation. NHAEON members are dedicated to supporting domestic policies, legislation & issues affecting Haitians living in the United States.
GYPSY Ayiti
Founded on the principles of social justice, our mission is to provide opportunities for marginalized populations to thrive and contribute meaningfully to Haitian society. GYPSY Ayiti is committed to transforming the lives of children and youth in Haiti and our goals are:
Promoting social justice in Haiti
Protecting young people from minorities ( LGBTQ+, disabled )
Strengthening the protection of vulnerable children and young people
Prevent and reduce juvenile delinquency
Create a favorable environment for the development of children and young people
Promoting the social inclusion of minors from marginalized communities
Cultivating patriotic awareness among young people
