Relaunching the Haitian Diaspora Philanthropy Survey: Your Voice Matters

Through diverse activities, the Haitian diaspora has historically been significant in helping Haiti’s efforts at growth and recovery. With 42 participants, we started this study in 2022 to better understand the diaspora’s roles in philanthropy; although we obtained some understanding, we did not want to generalize our results. Thus, it is imperative to relaunch the Haitian Diaspora Philanthropy Survey to get more perceptive data.

Why Do We Need Your Participation?

With 42 responses from our first 2022 poll, it offers an insightful analysis of diaspora-giving trends (Read the study here). However, we want to increase our involvement significantly this year and next year to obtain more thorough findings and create winning plans.

Your participation is essential in allowing us to:

1. Map current diaspora engagement activities.
2. Understand the motivations behind philanthropic contributions
3. Identify new opportunities for diaspora involvement in Haiti’s progress
4. Determine the most valuable resources and information for diaspora members

Who ought to be involved?

We urge every Haitian diaspora member to participate, regardless of their phase in charitable activity. Your viewpoint is essential regardless of your level of involvement—whether you donate regularly, sporadically, or are just interested in getting engaged.

How should one get involved?

The survey, which is accessible online, takes six to twenty minutes to complete. Your answers will be kept private and used only for research purposes.
