Effortless Ways to Locate Haitian-Led Nonprofits

We are thrilled to roll out our Nonprofit Directory tool on our upgraded website, a significant stride in our journey. Many Haitians in the diaspora and foreign supporters often wrestle with a common challenge: the lack of accessible data to identify organizations for partnership or financial support. In the aftermath of each natural disaster Haiti endures, a collective desire to help emerges. However, crucial questions always surface: who do we give to? Where should we focus our support? How can we make an impactful contribution? These concerns can leave us feeling powerless and restrict our ability to support our community. Our Nonprofit Directory tool is here to change that, empowering you to make informed decisions and contribute effectively to our community.

Our Nonprofit Directory Database

The objective of our directory is to offer a vast resource for all who are interested in supporting Haitian-led nonprofits, INGOs, and grassroots initiatives that are in alignment with their beliefs. Our team meticulously extracted data from numerous reputable sources, such as:

While our efforts have been substantial, we recognize the limits faced by distinctive nonprofit names, which have precluded accurate identification and inclusion in our directory. We also acknowledge the limited data on local organizations registered with the Ministry of Social Affairs and Labor in Haiti due to external constraints. Despite these obstacles, our directory offers a filtered view of more than 1.8 million active registered nonprofits, allowing users to choose organizations that share their beliefs and interests in our community.

Data Sourcing and Validation

We conducted a thorough data sourcing and validation process to guarantee the accuracy and relevance of the information in our directory. This process involved the utilization of the authoritative databases mentioned earlier, and we collected data on registered nonprofit organizations from various countries and regions. Our team thoroughly analyzed and cross-referenced the data to find and remove duplicate items, resulting in a more streamlined and structured directory. Nonprofit names and descriptions have been carefully vetted to ensure they meet our inclusion requirements, emphasizing organizations dedicated to issues and missions relevant to our community.

While we recognize the inherent constraints of using self-reported data, our validation process offers users a curated selection of nonprofit organizations in Haiti and the diaspora relevant to their interests and philanthropic goals.

Accessing the Nonprofit Directory

Our directory is a fantastic tool for finding causes that align with your values. While the directory is open to all users, we have built a tiered access structure to provide a consistent and personalized experience. The decision to give restricted capabilities was taken after thorough consideration.

Don’t see your organization
