ASSOCIATION OF HAITIAN WOMEN INC

The Association of Haitian Women in Boston (AFAB-KAFANM) is a grassroots organization founded by a group of Haitian women from different social, religious, and economic backgrounds who have joined forces since August 1988 for a women’s voice in the Haitian community.

Service Chrétien d’Haïti

US Haitian Christian Service (SCH) is a Haitian organization created in December 1954, on the occasion of Hurricane Hazel to help victim families resume normal life. After a few years of humanitarian activities, the Committee decided to invest in sustainable livelihoods. Since then, SCH has been working to strengthen the production capacities of vulnerable rural families through training, technical, material and financial assistance, and environmental protection.

World Vision International

World Vision is an international partnership of Christians whose mission is to follow our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ in working with the poor and oppressed to promote human transformation, seek justice, and bear witness to the good news of the Kingdom of God.

Oxfam Québec

Oxfam-Quebec provides solutions to reduce poverty and injustice, through solidarity projects carried out internationally, in the field of humanitarian aid and in Quebec. These projects help reduce inequalities and improve the living conditions of millions of people every year.

Plan International Haïti

Plan International began operating in Haiti in 1973 to address the biggest inequalities and violations of children’s rights. We work together with children, young people, supporters and partners to strive for a just world where we are all equal. Our current priorities include: Responding to and helping to prevent emergencies. Ensuring the most vulnerable children have access to a quality education. Preventing violence and exploitation, and supporting survivors of abuse. Preventing teenage pregnancy.

Intermon Oxfam/Oxfam Intermón

We want a more equal future. All lives are equally important and no one should be discriminated against because they were born in one place or another or because they are a certain way. That is why we work to end inequality, so that everyone can have the same rights and opportunities to prosper and not just to survive.

Fondation Pour la Santé Reproductrice et de l’Educatio Familiale

Promote and offer Reproductive Health, Family Planning, Maternal Health, Prevention and Treatment of Infectious Diseases, particularly STI/HIV/AIDS to the Haitian population, and improve the living conditions of Haitian families through actions on housing, the environment, vocational education, psychosocial support to vulnerable groups.

Centre de Promotion des Femmes Ouvrières

CPFO's goal is to contribute to improving the living and working conditions of women workers in the assembly industry in Haiti. All of the organizations' efforts are focused on promoting women's self-empowerment through strengthening their self-determination in their roles as women, mothers and workers. Through this action in the working world, the CPFO intends to fight for the change of the working conditions, and participate fully in the creation of a new social dynamic. More recently, CPFO has also broadened its focus groups and mission by formally including programs and services for Sex Workers (TS).
